The University of Canterbury offers a limited number of rooms to the conference participants in its Sonoda Apartments House in Dovedale Avenue, Ilam, Christchurch. The room prices are:
- 65 NZD/night for one room in a five bedroom apartment (including service fees, VAT, city tax).

Rooms have been reserved for conference participants until 20th September 2013.
The Sonoda is within a 30 minutes (3.2 km or 2 miles) walk from the Conference Hotel. There are city buses between these two locations too. Even if you take public transportation, the travel takes about 10-20 minutes.
